Is Your Accessible Route Considered a Ramp?

Is Your Accessible Route Considered a Ramp?

Mr. Compliant Eyes says: Remember that any part of an Accessible Route with a slope of over 1:20 is considered a Ramp and must satisfy the guidelines set out by the ADA. That means it must have a minimum width of 36 inches and a level landing at the top and bottom of the ramp. Handrails should be added if the ramp run has a rise greater than 6 inches or a horizontal projection of over 72 inches.
